TREND ALERT: Footwear
One of our favorite things about the transition to spring is the footwear. It's no secret that winters in the midwest can be brutal which sometimes hinders us from topping off the perfect outfit with a great shoe (we do have to be practical as well). So as SOON as the snow melts - we are all about putting away those winter boots and being so much more fashionable. If you're revamping your closet, need some inspo or just LOVE shoes (like us!) - here's a rundown of all the trends you need to be on the lookout for:
1. Western
Starting out with the BIGGEST trend is our western inspired looks. The cowgirl boot silhouette is so popular right now and we love the variations of it. Different shaft heights, colors, and textures make these boots so fun to style. AND these are actually something that you can bring into ALL SEASONS! Pair with denim shorts in the summer, a t-shirt dress and jacket for fall, leggings and an oversized sweater for winter OR a midi skirt and graphic tee for the spring. Here's some of our favs:

2. Braided Heel
It's no secret that we are a little obsessed with the Dolce Vita Paily Heel here at Leela and Lavender. As soon as it hits 30 degrees, you'll for sure see us in these heels. Of course these are our favorite but their also still such a huge trend! The braided look is not going anywhere soon so it's great to have in your closet. Here are some of our favorites in the style:
3. Platform

4. Clear Details
Sometimes an outfit requires the simplest of details. For a pattern that's already pretty loud or a look that you'd like to keep very minimal, no color can be the best color. A trending concept right now is an acrylic strap or detail. This allows you to really focus on the clothes and add just the right amount of femininity with the shoe:
